Who you will be talking to

Messages are handled by Joanne Liao, our editor. Joanne grew up between California and Keelung, with family near Jiufen, and she edits every guide on the site. Questions about buses, trains and timing go to Nathan Pell, who maps the routes. Questions about food and photos go to Daniel Reeves. You can read more about all three of us on our About page.

What we can help with

We are glad to help you plan a visit: how to get to Jiufen, the best time to go, what to do in an afternoon or evening, and how to add Shifen and Yehliu to the day. If something on the site looks wrong, tell us and we will fix it.

We do not book tours, buses or hotels for you, and we cannot hold reservations. We are a guide, not a booking agent. For tours and tickets, we point you to the partners listed on each page.

How soon will we reply?

We usually reply within two to three business days. We are a small team in different time zones, so a same-day answer is rare, but a real reply always comes. Telling us your travel dates helps us answer faster.

Press, partnerships and corrections

For press, partnership ideas, or a factual correction, write to the same address and say so at the top of your message. We take accuracy seriously. If a price, opening time or bus route has changed, let us know and we will check it and update the page.
